Pop Up Cards Using the Word Window Punch

Oct 31, 2008

Well I couldn't find a tutorial on SCS much to my shock & horror - so here's my take!

  1. Fold inner card piece in half - here I have stamped it lightly with the Linen background stamp. Push the word window punch in as far as it goes, lining the centre mark on the centre fold & punch. Turn card stock over & repeat on the other side.
  2. With a metal ruler & a bone scorer mark between the outer edge of the 2 punches on both sides
  3. Attach with glue (I just used my Anywhere glue stick) the inner card stock to the outer card stock. VERY IMPORTANT not to adhere the inner piece that has been punched & scored. It should like this:
  4. Attach message or cut out stamped image to the popped out piece

Have fun!

My first tutorial - How to create a bag-a-lope

Jan 31, 2008

  1. Find a white envelope - that's actually the hardest part of this exercise as in NZ most of our envelopes that we can buy have blue in the inside (so we can't see what's in the mail) but SU! to the rescue as they have lovely whisper white envelopes for sale.
  2. Seal the envelope & then with a paper cutter or could be a pair of decorative scissors remove one of the sides.
  3. Decorate with stamps (stampin' around wheels make this an easy task).
  4. Score FIRMLY the remaining 3 sides at 3/4" (could be 1" for a squatter bag).
  5. Run your hand inside the "bag".
  6. 2 little triangles form at the base - seal down with a strong adhesive - such as SU! sticky strip.
  7. Embellish the front of bag.
  8. Seal with a fold or even just ribbon through 2 holes if decorative scissors were used.
  9. Fill with the wee goodies.

Hope you find this useful & have fun kreating.
